This is an extensive collector's lot consisting of 27 authentic official Banzuke (番付表), the paper ranking sheets issued by the Japan Sumo Association (日本相撲協会). This collection covers a pivotal era in sumo history, spanning the Heisei Era (1994 to 1997).

Banzuke sheets are highly sought-after collector's items, as they are printed using traditional woodblock techniques and serve as historical records of each Grand Sumo Tournament (場所 Basho).

The lot comprises a total of 27 Banzuke sheets, plus one colored illustrated e-banzuke (絵番付 - Picture Ranking sheet) from the Heisei 8th (1996) Spring Tournament.

Takanohana Kōji (貴乃花光司): The 65th Yokozuna and one of the most popular wrestlers of the modern era.

Wakanohana Masaru (若乃花勝): The 66th Yokozuna and Takanohana's brother.

Takanonami Sadahiro (貴ノ浪貞博)

Musashimaru (武蔵丸): A dominant Yokozuna of the era.

Gyōji (行司 - Referees): The names of prominent head referees, including Shikimori Inosuke (式守伊之助) and Kimura Shōnosuke (木村庄之助), are also visible.
