Rare Vintage Japanese Houmongi Kimono! 🌸✨
This is a remarkable vintage Houmongi kimono, crafted by Kizaburo Fukuda, father of the Living National Treasure embroidery artist Kiju Fukuda. It features delicate embroidery and gold-painted paper fan (uchiwa) motifs on pale pink silk with subtle ombré shading.
Kizaburo was a master of traditional Japanese embroidery, and his legacy was passed on to his son Kiju Fukuda, the only officially recognized embroidery Living National Treasure in Japan. Some of Kiju’s dyed works bear his father’s name in homage, as seen in this piece.
This is a rare and high-quality piece with both artistic and cultural significance—ideal for collectors, kimono enthusiasts, or as a statement in textile art appreciation.
